PFCA Resident Savings Accounts are ideal for citizens of Sri Lanka, who wish to deposit their valuable foreign currency and earn interest in the same currency. This Savings Account ensures attractive interest rates, along with the option to operate in the currency of your choice from US Dollars, Sterling Pounds, Australian Dollars and Euros. You also have the option to open a joint account, provided the minimum balance of US$ 100 or equivalent in other designated currencies per person is maintained.

  • A choice of designated currencies in which you can maintain your account
  • Minimum deposit of US$ 100 or equivalent in any other designated foreign currency
  • A choice between a Savings Account or a Super Savings Account for a higher rate of interest
  • Permitted credits are inward remittances in foreign currency received in favour of the account holder, funds transfers from PFCA Non resident/PFCA Resident accounts, foreign currency notes received by the account holder subject to declaration of the source and interest payable in foreign currency on funds held in the account

  • Debits to account are allowed for remittances abroad for current international transactions, transfers from one PFCA account to another irrespective of the bank and the company where the account is maintained and for payments in Sri Lanka in LKR
  • Interest is calculated on the daily balance and paid monthly
